General Sales Conditions

These general sales conditions apply to all jobs carried out by NSA Translations SA for its clients.

NSA Translations shall issue a specific order for each assignment. The order form shall specify the volume of work to be carried out, the deadline by which it is to be completed, and the remuneration due. It shall also contain any special instructions concerning formatting and delivery of the work. The order form shall thus constitute the specific contract. This order must be sent back to us signed and posted by regular mail, e-mail or fax; we reserve the right to refuse to start a job without an order.

NSA Translations shall undertake to consult all background or reference documents or glossaries supplied or recommended by the client and to make every effort to consult any other information sources recommended by the client.

The cost of a translation shall be calculated using a count of words in the source language, unless otherwise previously established in writing.

In the event that a client cancels an order, all work already effected shall be billed at 100%, while work which is suspended shall be billed at 50%.

Unless otherwise specified, all invoices must be paid within a maximum of thirty (30) calendar days running from the date on which they are issued.

Late payment or failure to pay shall be cause for immediate collection of the entire amount due from the client, without previous notice or other formalities. Upon expiry of the time limit set above, NSA Translations SA may, within two months of receiving the late payment, claim interest at the rate applied by the Bank of Greece to its most recent main refinancing operations ("the reference rate”) plus seven percentage points ("the margin”). The reference rate in force on the first day of the month in which the payment was due shall apply. Interest shall be payable for the period from the calendar day following expiry of the time-limit for payment up to the day of payment. Moreover, the client must reimburse any expenses NSA Translations SA incurs to settle the case.

All work in progress and all orders in progress shall be suspended in the event of late payment.

NSA Translations SA shall not be held liable for any reason whatsoever for translations which are not stylistically satisfactory. The services of NSA Translations SA shall be limited to simple translation, unless expressly requested.

Complaints shall only be taken into consideration if received by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or equivalent within seven days of delivery of the job(s) or part of the job(s). All complaints must be accompanied by the original documents, disputed translations, and a letter of explanation. Once the above time period has elapsed, the translation shall be considered correct.

Where the client considers that the quality is unsatisfactory, he shall inform, within the established deadlines, NSA Translations SA in writing. The client shall provide proof that the quality of the assignment is unsatisfactory. NSA Translations SA agrees, at its own expense, to deliver an edited version of the disputed translation. This second document shall be used to judge the quality of the translation in order to establish the amount of reimbursement, at NSA Translations SA's own discretion.

In the event of late delivery directly and solely due to NSA Translations SA’s fault, a reimbursement shall be paid, to be established between the parties, up to an amount of 100% of the job delivered late.

NSA Translations SA shall undertake to keep strictly confidential all information which comes to its knowledge in the course of execution of the projects and to ensure that staff employed by NSA Translations SA are bound by the same undertaking.

Only written agreements between the parties shall be taken into consideration. The Courts of Athens shall have jurisdiction for all disputes.
